David E. Sexauer is a high energy servant leader who enjoys helping others. He currently serves as the President of DAST Consulting Services, a boutique consulting firm that is unlocking the financial resources so that every single child in America has access to a Christ-centered education.
David received a BA in History and Religion from Azusa Pacific University. He has completed graduate coursework at APU, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Indianapolis Theological Seminary and is currently enrolled as a student at Northwestern California University School of Law. David served his country in the U.S. Army for four years from 1993-1996.
After a decade of pursuing sports evangelism and Christian education opportunities, David felt called to leave traditional nonprofit work to be able to provide funding for the work others were doing. He started a successful technology consulting company (DAST Consulting) and used some of the profits to start a real estate investment group and DAST Foundation. Upon the sale of the consulting business in 2015, David went to work for the new owner for two years. In 2017, he accepted a position as Head of School with Central Christian Academy in order to affect a turnaround after the school’s founding church had decided to close CCA’s doors. In 2020 David resigned as Head of School after successfully bringing the financial and relational resources to CCA to allow it to continue to thrive today. He then worked as a Chief Relationship Officer for a tech startup for a year as he began exploring opportunities in the private school funding space. Seeing the tremendous opportunities that the Emergency Assistance for Nonpublic Schools (EANS) program presented, David restarted DAST Consulting in 2021 for the express purpose of accessing as much government funding as possible to support private education.
Mr. Sexauer has a long history of involvement in helping non-profits improve their level of organizational excellence and development efforts. He has been involved in the formation of multiple charitable organizations and enjoys making his business experience and skills available to organizations that help others.
David met his beautiful wife Cheri during college. They have been married for over 25 years and have 7 children. David is actively involved in his local church and is blessed to be ordained as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
